The Benson Hotel – Hotel near airport in Cairns

The hotel offers a functional and comfortable stay, with well-situated rooms that might be affected by noise from a nearby nightclub on weekends. The location is ideal for central activities and attractions, but proximity to a casino can lead to some disturbance. The dining experience is of high quality, with minor delays in buffet service. Staff services are a mixed bag, with some issues around room access but highlighted by the welcoming and professional service of certain individuals.

The hotel is wonderfully convenient, close to popular spots, with spacious rooms and friendly service. On the downside, the noise after a big New Year's night affected our room readiness, but in the end, we enjoyed the size of the rooms.

The hotel is located on level 9, fairly high up, which I recommend. However, the rooms were really not cozy nor very clean, being absolutely disgusting with broken doors on furniture and mold and rust in the room and bathroom. The service was exceptional during our stay, with the hotel slowly renovating and moving me to another room that was much better. The location looks to have undergone recent renovations, offering a great area to relax and enjoy the sun but needs cleaning. The dining experience was a mix of good and not so good, with a standard buffet that was not kept too warm, although it was also very good. There are good facilities available, but some areas need improvement.

The service was impeccable and extremely helpful, making my stay pleasant. The dining experience was delightful, with delicious meals and friendly staff.
